BBE ITE EMB Bursary Presentation - 11 April 2013 Thursday



















Grassroots Adviser Mdm Halimah Yacob attended the Bukit Batok East ITE EMB Bursary presentation with about 90 students and family on Thursday, 11 April 2013 at Bukit Batok East CC Hall. She emphasize on the important of education which helps them to understand the important of contribution to the society after entering to the working place. She also emphasize on the hard work parents went through in order to provide their children a good education level.
She congratulated the students on their achievements and encouraged all the recipients to apply the same efforts and commitment in their academic pursuits and look forward to seeing them at the presentation next year.

To promote community art to the heartland and family life, Bukit Batok East Community Art and Cultural Club , together with the Family Life Champion, organised an event , titled " Family Scrapbook Workshop" on 14 April 2013 at Bukit Batok East CC.

Teams are formed by family members from at least 2 generation, they are to create an family scrapbook within the given time. A total of 15 families participated in this meaningful workshop.

Participants find this workshop are  very meaningful as it not only promotes community art , but it also bonds the family.

BBE Nature View RC Floor Party @ Block 288F - 14 April 2013 Sunday



















It’s not the usual quiet morning on the 7th floor of Block 288F, Bukit Batok Street 25. Instead, the lift landing area was filled happy chatters amongst fellow neighbours, together with volunteers and members of Nature View Residents’ Committee. On Sunday,14th April, mingling and chatting while enjoying a brunch of nasi lemak, home-baked cake with desserts was the order of the morning.

The “Floor Party” was co-organised by Kumar Changanathan and Tham Weng Seng, two of Nature View RC volunteers, who are also residents of the block. The party was graced by Madam Halimah Yaacob , Adviser for Jurong GRC GROs, Speaker of Parliament & MP for Jurong GRC. In her short speech, Madam Halimah expressed that she was pleased to see many neighbours attending the party and interacting with one another. This clearly promotes PA’s objective of encouraging good neighbourliness that will pave the way to a happier living environment for the residents.

Residents of Nature View RC look forward for more such floor party.

60 grassroots leaders attended the sharing session held at BBE CC. Besides learning on the fundamentals on volunteerism, it is a good platform for new grassroots leaders of Jurong GRC and Yuhua to share their experiences.

Bukit Batok East CC WEC International Women's Day - 7 April 2013 Sunday






Bukit Batok East CC WEC celebrates International Women's Day by having a party on 7 April 2013, Sunday night.
There were lots of fun, laughter and sumptuous food during the party with singing and dancing by the event company performance. Participants also joint in to play games conducted by the event company.
Mdm Halimah Yacob is the Guest-of-Honor for our event.

This event is jointly organized by Bukit Batok East CC WEC and Bukit Batok East CCMC
