BBE Nature View / Spring View RC Lunar New Year Celebration Dinner - 23 February 2013 Saturday

On 23rd February 2013, BBE Nature View RC and Spring View RC organized a Lunar New Year Celebration dinner for the residents. The event was graced by our Guest-of-Honor, Madam Halimah Yacob, MP for Jurong GRC, and Speaker of Parliament together with the Grassroot Leaders. It was an evening of fun-filled activities such as the Lion Dance, the Cultural performances and also, our Cai Shen Ye came and showered the wealth and joy to the residents.

While the residents enjoyed their dinner, they were entertained by stage performances by various singers as well as the interactive emcees with a giant state-of-the-art LED panel behind the stage. The excitement ceases to end there as the lucky draw was conducted and the top prize being an LED Television Set which was eventually won by one lucky resident.

The event climaxed with a ‘Gangnam Style’ performance and then a mass sing-a-long session by our G.O.H, GRLs and the two RCs’ members. It was an event which brought the smiles to many residents and all got to walk away with a customized goodie-bag.

BBE discussed the Singapore Population Paper : 20 Feb 2013, Wednesday

Grassroots Adviser Mdm Halimah Yacob & Bukit Batok East GROs organized the discussions on Singapore Population Paper at Bukit Batok East CC Hall this evening. The session was attended by some 200 Grassroots Leaders & Residents from the public housing & private estates in the Division. The session aimed to share with participants the content of the Paper and most importantly, to seek the various views - what should be done and could be done better.

The Organising Committee would like to thank all participants who took time off from busy schedules on a week night to attend. The session was brimming with active discussions with participants mature attitude in sharing their fears, concerns & frustrations. The session also witnessed the participants' care & love of Singapore, our country, our home.

Bukit Batok East Lunar New Year Celebration Dinner - 15 Feb 2013 Friday

It was a joyous occasion as families and friends gathered for the Lunar New Year Celebration Dinner. Besides enjoying the sumptuous food and artistes’ entertainment, residents also voted for the best dress male and female attendees.

Towards the closing of the event, after watching the captivating acrobatic performance, residents also participated in the grand finale sing-a-long. The Organising Committee wishes to thank all the residents for their support and wish everyone a healthy and prosperous new year.
