Deeper integration through continuous engagement.- 06 March 2011 Sunday

Bukit Batok East’s Grassroots Leaders gathered together on Sunday 6 March 2011 for a Lunch & Dialogue with Adviser on immigration and integration discussion. The platform served to develop closer bonds and better understanding of the integration issues among the grassroots leaders and Adviser. Guest of Honour Mdm Halimah Yacob, MP of Jurong GRC and Adviser for Jurong GRC GROs conducted the session with representatives from Prime Minister’s office, National Population & Talent Division, Mr Gilbert Oh, Assistant Director (Naturalisation) and from Ministry of Home Affairs, Policy and Operations Division, Mr Ang Zhongren, Senior Assistant Director (Immigration & Registration). More than 100 grassroots leaders turned up for the dialogue. Mr Lee Chuen Fei, Secretary of BBE CCC and Chairman of Hoover Park NC was the presenter and moderator for the day and shared with us the following key takeaway:
1. Answer commonly asked questions on immigration and integration issues
2. Invite feedback on addressing Singaporeans’ concerns better
3. Provide information to enable GRLs to further engage residents

Mr Ronnie Tan PBM, INC Champion Leader and team would like to thank you for your participation of the above dialogue.
