CEP - Bukit Batok Fire Station and Malay Heritage Centre Tour on 4 May 2013 (Sat)

C2E and CERT members embarked on a tour to have a better understanding of how far SCDF have progressed in fire fighting, learn more about Civil Defence capabilities and the major fires events in the past. The groups were well educated on causes of fire and prevention.

During lunch session, C2E chairman shares with members the importance of interracial ties and trust in the community through common experience. Members are  updated on the upcoming SFA, AED training in May 2013 and the TTX exercise in July 2013.

After a hearty lunch, participants were given a free guided tour by MHC staff to enhance our members' knowledge on Malay’s culture and heritage.

Old and new recruited CERT members were elated with the educational tour which provided them a good insight of emergency preparedness and a good understanding of different culture. It was also a good opportunity to make friends and bond with their fellow CERT and C2E members.
