The Family Life Champions (FLCs) from the Jurong Group Representative Constituencies (GRCs) and Yuhua Single Member Constituency (SMC) are organising the first-ever mothers’ pageant, Glamour and Dazzle, focusing on family activities as part of their efforts to pay tribute to motherhood and promote family bonding in the community. The Final will be held this Sunday, 29 Sep 2013, 2pm, at West Mall.

Senior Citizen's Health & Happiness TCM Talk

About 200 seniors attended the health talk conducted by Professor Feng Jiayang. They learnt on how to maintain good lung health and also using herbs to improve one’s well-being.

Zone 3 RC’s Mid-Autumn Festival Celebration

The families enjoyed the mooncakes and pomelos which was served and many children participated in the colouring contest. With the garden decorated with little lanterns, residents were soaked in the mid-autumn atmosphere while chit-chatting with their friends.

Mid-Autumn Festival Celebration at Highgate

Mid-Autumn Festival is a time for reunion whereby families and friends will come together to enjoy mooncakes and tea while viewing the bright moon. In spirit of this festival, Jade Valley NC has successfully organised Mid-Autumn Festival Celebration for their residents at Highgate Playground on 13 September 2013.

More than 300 residents turned up and they had a night of fun thereby strengthening neighborliness and family bonding. In addition, residents also enjoyed the games, performance and lucky draw specially organized for them.

Fruit Fiesta & Perjumpaan Hari Raya

Bukit Batok East Zone 2 RC has successfully organised the Fruit Fiesta & Perjumpaan Hari Raya on Sunday, 25th August 2013 @ Blk 254A Pavilion with over 250 participants. 

Our Guest-of Honour, Mdm Halimah, is pleased with the warm hospitality that the residents have. Residents have the opportunity to build good relationships within the neighbourhood and understand the multi-racial culture.

We would like to thanks all volunteers who had helped to make the event successful.

Book Exchange Program

About 100 BBE residents took part in the Book Exchange Program organised by the BBE Community Lead Champions' (CLC) Volunteers Induction Program (VIP). The activity, held on 25 August 2013 at the Bukit Batok East CC, was supported by the CCC and CCMC.

Post National Day Rally Dialogue with BBE Grassroots Leaders and Residents

About 60 BBE grassroots leaders and residents attended the Post National Day Rally Dialogue with Grassroots Adviser Mdm Halimah Yacob. The activity was held at the Bukit Batok East Community Club on 24 August 2013.

Hoover Park Estate Visit and Post National Day Rally Dialogue

Together with Grassroots Adviser Mdm Halimah Yacob, more than 50 Hoover Park residents attended the Post National Day Rally Dialogue on 24 Aug 2013 after the Estate Visit. Residents shared their feedback with her during the dialogue session, as well as had a closer interaction with her during the visits.
