Over a thousand residents gathered to watch the BBE National Day Variety Show performance. It is a timely occasion to appreciate the volunteers for contributing their time and talents towards grassroots work, thus Mdm Halimah also presented them with the long service awards.
Besides having entertainers crooning their favourite songs, residents also had great fun singing a number of National Day songs like “Stand up for Singapore”. Indeed, these old National Day songs do resonate in their hearts. Mr Tharman also joined in the fun singing our National day songs.
We would like to thank all the residents who joined in the celebration and have made that evening a special one.
