Celebrating Grandparents' Day and family life, the Bukit Batok East Family Life Champion (FLC) & Community Lead Champion (CLC) team organised a T-shirt Design Contest for 24 families on 27th November 2011.
It was a fun-filled occasion as parents' and children brainstormed together to come up with designs that fulfilled the theme of Active Ageing and Grandparents' Day!
Coordinated by the BBE Volunteer Induction Programme (VIP), the new inductees also felt proud to be part of the contest as it helped them understand the meaning of good teamwork and family bonding. Ending the event on a high note was the Modelling Segment, where the eldest member of the family had to put on the shirt that they designed and model for their friends and neighbours to see! Participants enjoyed themselves, laughing away throughout the night and appreciating the company of their family members.
Grassroots Adviser , Mdm Halimah Yacob was the Guest-of-Honour for the event.
This event was jointly organised by BBE FLC & CLC and supported by BBE Grassroot's Organisation.
