On 24th March 2013, Bukit Batok East Community Club hosted a Jurong GRC Citizenship Ceremony where 96 new Citizens turned up to collect their NRICs and certificates. Mdm Halimah Yacob , Grassroots Adviser to Jurong GRC GROs, Speaker of Parliament and MP for Jurong GRC was the GOH for the event.
